There are men who spend quality time on their hair in the morning and then there are those that tussle it up a bit and are ready to head out the door. Whichever man you are, it’s still important too keep your locks looking healthy and full of life throughout the day. Let us show you how!
First, it’s imperative to know what you’re working with up there. Although we always say our hair feels alive after a good shampoo, the cells that form the male quiff are dead. They are just proteins that grow out of the follicles of the head and form a certain shape and texture that are dictated by ones genetics. That’s why we’re saying “Look Alive.” Although Halloween is right around the corner, we can’t bring back the dead but we can try our hardest to keep it from looking decayed and brittle.
There are a few steps to keep your hair looking and feeling it’s best.
1-Get your hair cut at least once every 3-4 weeks.
“Dead ends” is a bit of an oxymoron. What happens is that these ends have been on your head the longest and start to split because the proteins have nothing to hold them together anymore. The best way to prevent these little zombies from forming is to constantly get your hair trimmed. This allows for a more natural look every day. If that isn’t an option, monetarily, then try going every 4 or 5 weeks.
2-Wash and Condition your hair as needed ACCORDING TO YOUR HAIR TYPE.
Many people think that in order to keep your hair looking healthy you have to shampoo it every day but this is not the case. For people with dry hair, this could cause serious irritation and dryness of the hair and scalp. That’s why it’s important to identify which hair type you have. 3-Use the right products.
What goes into your hair has a huge effect on how it looks and feels. Using organic and naturally made products is going to breed the best results and leaving your scalp feeling refreshed. Stay away from sulfates and harsh chemicals which can dry out your skin and cause irritation.
By taking these three simple steps you too can keep your hair from looking unhealthy or damaged.
